Gesha Semi-Washed (Honey Process) – Whole Beans
🏆 Mt. Zulu Gesha Semi-Washed (Honey Process) – Silver Winner, Global Coffee Awards 2025
Mt. Zulu Gesha Semi-Washed (Honey Process) is a premium specialty coffee from La Cumparsita Farm in Caldas, Colombia, cultivated at 1,800 meters above sea level and roasted at origin to preserve its authentic character.
This semi-washed (honey) Gesha undergoes a meticulous process in which part of the mucilage — the natural sugary layer of the coffee cherry — is intentionally left on the bean during drying. This technique enhances sweetness, body, and complexity while maintaining a clean, bright cup with remarkable clarity.
The result is a refined and aromatic coffee with floral notes of jasmine, chamomile, and calendula, beautifully balanced with milk chocolate sweetness and a gentle citrus brightness. With an SCA score of 86.75, this Gesha offers exceptional harmony, depth, and a silky finish that lingers delicately on the palate.
Awarded a Silver Medal at the Global Coffee Awards 2025 (Filter – Honey Process), this lot was praised for its balance, sweetness, and roast precision, representing the mastery and elegance of Colombian coffee craftsmanship.
